Paint & Nicotine April 08, 2009 |

I'm really starting to hate the smell of paint. Alice and Rory + 1 came over to help me out with the painting buiness. We were very productive finishing both the upstairs bedrooms, the family room and downstairs hallway. It took longer than I expected but I am very happy with how it turned out. I have a few spots to touch up in the spare bedroom but other than that it looks pretty good.

And I now have a put it back together goal of 1 month. I will get pictures up at some point. Right now I'm working on painting some pictures for above my bed. I'm going to have to let the base coat dry overnight.

I'm not very happy that vacation is over, it went by way to quickly. Sometimes work feels like this never ending cycle and I just get kinda bored with the concept that I will have to do it for another 42 or so years before I can retire.

At least I have something to look forward to this weekend. Alice and I are taking a bus to miller park to see the cubs game (or as Alice would say the Brewers game). I do belive I will limit myself to one drink at the stadium as I have hard core quit smoking.

I've been meaning to swear off it completely again...and the stress of school kinda put me into a fairly bad habit. To increase our chances Alice and I are quitting together. We both had our last cigarretts on sunday night (Technically Monday morning). I'm fine when I'm at work but this sitting at home on the computer thing and in the car is proving to be more difficult. All and all I think I'm doing pretty good.

Klutz January 22, 2009 |

Somewhere along the genetic line my family lost the graceful trait. My mother falls down the stairs on a regular basis and my father all though typically staying upright is by no means suave. Today I was walking over to sit on the couch. I forgot I had moved my coffee table (with sharp corners) up close to the couch to use as a footrest.

I ran into it just under my knee which shocked me causing me to loose my balance and fall forward thereby hitting my knee again (more specifically my kneecap this time) on my way down catapulted forward by my massive bulk.

It really hurt. Like falling on the couch nauseous in the stomach hurting. I composed myself and went on with my day. Over the course of the day the top of my knee has swollen to a nice lump. It doesn't hurt nearly as badly but I am aware of its presence. What concerns me is while walking up and down stairs today my knee has began making a crunching noise. Well honestly I don't know if I'm hearing the crunching...or feeling the crunching its quite weird. It isn't painful per say but I'm guessing this isn't a good sign. My marathon dreams are dashed.

Is the Plauge still in style? November 13, 2008 |

I love vicks vaporub. I have vicks plug-ins, vicks sented klenex, vicks shower tablets and of course my own personal tub of vicks vaporub. My only dissatifaction with the product is I love it so much I wish I could injest it. I took a tip of slathering the goo on the bottom of my feet to stop my agonizing cough..no dice so I moved to the chest which soothed my muscle pain from coughing but thats it. Still the slight satisfaction was enough to go on an addictive binge.

  • Feet
  • Chest
  • Arms
  • Nose
  • Upper lip
  • Cheeks
  • Forhead
  • Neck
  • Lowerback

Im afraid to lay down because Im prone to leave a greese streak wherever I go. I can no longer be seen because my skin produces a blinding glare. The dogs refuse to be in the same room as me due to the overwhelming odor. I am also starting to entertain the paranoid that I might be flamable (Shiny greesy things usually are). Oh and I'm still coughing.

P.S. In happy news Cobie and I kissed and made up (oh well more txt'd and talked) its good to have life back to normal.

Ava version 2.0 November 07, 2008 |

Before I even graduated high school I entered a doctor's office who told me I wouldn't have children...well that's not exactly true they said if I wanted them sooner-rather than later was the method to go with (at 27, sooner has passed and my doctor stamped date is years expired). Now at the age of 17 the news although shocking never really bothered me until my mid-twenties, the baby making years where my friends facebook pictures abruptly turned from drinking photos to cloudy blob ultra sounds and pictures of juniors first smile. I want one.

Okay I don't want one today, but the progress of others has me thinking about my own mini-me and my own life situation. I really fell in love with the idea of adoption. It has that altruistic quality and having a child with my gene pool has become quite unimportant to me. Especially if I never find a husband adoption is definitely my baby-making method of choice. But I still had a romance with the child of my own idea has never quite gone away when I think of ever getting married. Granted I have no prospects at this point but I would like to think at one point I'll find someone well suited to me. And that half-me-half him mutant baby with daddy's nose and mommy's eyes not to mention the kid is required to get my kick-ass personality...is something I admit still saddens me a bit.

I went for my regular checkup at my doctor a few months ago, 6mos before the appointment I stopped taking all my medications that were supposed to "fix" my hormone issues. Frankly in my opinion they weren't doing shit so why bother paying for them. She checked my levels and everything...EVERYTHING was normal. Humm weird (for me). But I really hadn't give it much thought.

Then today I was sitting at my desk...I was crabby, I had found three (albeit tiny) zits on my face and my stomach hurt allot...wait cramps. Rosa parks had rode her bus into town yet again. I circle the little date on my checkbook calendar as I was taught in jr. high although I still don't understand the point of it. And I noticed something strange. 28days, cycle before 29 days, and the one before it 28days. 3 in a row. I've never even had one 28 day cycle before before. Normal its all normal.

Have I been magically been cured? Is the thought of a mini-Ava no longer an impossibility? It's something I gave up a decade ago...maybe I was too hasty.

Spectacles October 28, 2008 |

Today is a happy day, yes its annual new glasses day. Belmont and Rosa killed my black everyday pair and my purple ones are all bent up due to a 3month temporary misplacement under my bed. After much deliberation I decided on these two frames.
Oslo Frame by Etina Barcelona. If I can't travel to Spain I mine as well purchase overpriced designer glasses from them. And aren't they super cute. I love to color, true I cant wear them with everything but with a black shirt and jeans these will be yow-zer! And aren't the sides totally cute?! I originally looked at a similar pair that were bigger up front and had wider sides this is much more flattering on an Ava. I'm officially nerdy-chic.

I know you are worried about me wearing the above favored pair and clashing with my wardrobe which is filled with color. Have no fear my pets I present to you my neutral pair the Alice frame by Furla. The picture isn't the best, or the right color but its all I can find. My pair is black and the sides look much cooler as they are black with a a white background. Yeah the picture sucks but trust me they are every so fetch.
God I love being visually impaired.

Ava Mazur for President October 02, 2008 |

Ava Mazur – Presidential Write in

"Because what use is an election season if I havent alienated all of my friends."

Candidate Demographics
Age: 27
Platform: Independent
Experience: Voted in 2 in two presidental elections…otherwise none
Home state: Minnesota by way of Illinois

Ms. Mazur you have been accusing of being a Republican by Democrats and the Democrats accuse you of being a Republican. Why don’t you just pick a side?

I rather not, there is no party I completely identify with so why rope myself into only one option? I rather choose my stance issue by issue.

Do you kill unborn babies on the weekends?

No, but I fully support the right of others to do so. I have never been a poor scared knocked up 14 year old so I really don’t feel qualified to take that option away from her. I do believe in counseling and support for those mothers that would like to give their baby up for adoption…in fact I would like to take some ones unwanted baby. (Prefer no drug additions please). Also on that note I'm a big fan comprehensive sex education and free easily attainable birthcontrol for teens and young adults.

Where do you stand on gay marriage?

Marriage belongs in a church not at city hall. I think marriage as a government institution should be abolished and should be replaced with civil unions entered into by two consenting adults (regardless of gender). If you really want to get married find a priest.

Where do you stand on Iraq?

Ooopsie poosie we really don’t belong there at all. Let’s exit as swiftly and gracefully as possible.

Drilling in Alaska?

Call me crazy but it might be nice to have once state that we haven’t totally tapped. Besides by switching to domestic oil we are just putting a band-aid on the oil issue. Leave Alaska alone.

Going green?

I’m no saint. I have a SUV that gets 18miles/gal, I run my air conditioning like its going out of style and sometimes I throw away recyclables in the trash. Does this make me a horrible person perhaps, but it also makes me your average American. In order for people to really change you have to make being un-green either a pain in the ass or just too expensive. Here are some of my ideas:

  • A Dollar deposits on every plastic bottle (bringing you own bottle and hitting the fountain seems a lot easier doesn’t it)
  • Government subsidized or free recycling and you have to pay a certain dollar amount per pound of garbage.
  • More trains, and more public transportation in general.
  • 1 billion dollar contest for who ever can get an actual working green family car (must fit 4 adults and a golden retriever) along with luggage for a 3-day camping trip. No gas and it can get up to 90mph.
  • Solar power and windmills (windmills are pretty).
  • Get all that packaging off the shelves. Is it really necessary for my cereal to have a bag in a box…cant they just print the label on the bag?

On the bailout:

I would like to live in a country where corrupt companies close and industry that does a good job stays open and takes over their business. They were stupid enough to lend people who couldn’t afford it that money so tough. The loans that are still in good standing can be purchased by other mortgage companies. This is not a place for the government.

What about all those people who are loosing their homes because of predatory lenders?

Umm when I bought my house I got this pretty little contract that told me the terms of my loan…I looked at MY budget and knew I could afford it. If you sign on the dotted line you should have done your homework. I don’t think the government should bail you out either. Go get an apartment save your money and try again later.

On government health care:

I’m not for all inclusive government health care but a sliding scale for the uninsured is a must. There should be coverage for pre-existing conditions and no dropping someone if they get sick. In part of this health care organizations need eliminate waste from their systems, streamline care reduce the patient run around and everyone wins.

On Student Loans:

Government loans for all part or full time students regardless of their income or their parent’s income. Loans require the student to maintain a 3.0 GPA. Repayment begins one year after the student is no longer in school and monthly payment is based on the student’s annual income from the previous year. No payments required for those living below the poverty line. Much like welfare proof that a person is attempting to find a job is required.

Is it true you are harboring illegals under your bed?

No. Last time I checked America was a nation of immigrants. Let’s make it possible for people to come in legally. Those who are illegal and causing trouble send them to jail or to their original country. I’m not saying immigration should be a cake walk it was hard on great-great-great-grandpa Mazur. I’m not one who believes in squashing cultures but I do think that part of being in America requires a bit of conforming. We need your face on a driver’s license so we can tell you are really you. No one is required to get a driver’s license if your religious conviction is so strong you refuse you can take the bus. You probably should know some English. I don’t like inconveniencing the majority for the benefit of a few. Do I have a problem with Spanish being everywhere? Heck no there are lots of people who speak Spanish that is not really a minority in my eyes. So if you are employable, have a clean criminal record, want to pay a bunch of taxes and can communicate effectively come on over, and welcome to America.

Dairy of the Dying September 30, 2008 |

Saturday night: Slept 15 hours

Sunday night: Slept 17 hours

Monday night: Slept 18 hours

I have not left my bedroom except the occasional bathroom trip of orange juice refill. I had to feed the dogs cereal because they were out of food and the thought of getting dressed and leaving my home was quite simply unfathomable. The second half of my bed is covered in snotty tissue and cough drop wrappers. I really cant breathe very well and am starting to entertain the paranoid notion that I might asphyxiate in my sleep.

Slacker but only a little April 09, 2008 |

I wish this picture did a better job of actually capturing the discustingness that has become my skin. That odd red pattern you see is actually started as tiny little hives that have all come together to make me look like a mutant. It started yesterday afternoon and today I woke up to find the rash spread all the way up my arms, I had a giant welt that covered SOLID my entire stomach, Another that went down the mid line of my back, a patch just above my butt crack, scatter splotches on my outter thighs and big welts on both my knees.

I realize this is the last week at my old job and I felt okay besides the insane itching....but would you go to work like this? I didnt think so. My doctor was booked (shocker) so I saw someone else who basically said well if nothing changed who knows what caused it...take five billion anti-histamines your going to be miserable for awhile. If it doesn't start to improve in a few days call us back. Actually I think Ill be fine. It seems to have stopped spreading and after taking my two different kinds of antihistamine the itching has pretty much gone away and the rash itself doesn't look as red and raised as it did this morning. All I have to say is this better be a one time thing.

Can I have my pass to study hall now? March 17, 2008 |

I spent my morning sitting on a small stool in the middle of a mostly enclosed glass chamber about the size of a 5-minute photo booth. A small black fan whirred above me and a tube jetted out towards my face so I had to sit uncomfortably leaning backward. A nurse instructed me to exhale into the tube, pant and do many breathing techniques that I prefer to reserve for vigorous sex only.

After this “foreplay” my tube dosed me with what I can only imagine is a temporary very potentate strain of pneumonia. My lungs seemed to cave in on themselves; I coughed and quite frankly began to panic as I wheezed for air. The nurse looks at me calmly don’t worry its normal just wait five minutes.”

“5 minutes?! Is she fucking serious?” If I could hold my breath for five goddamn minutes I would quit my job and become an otter on the California coast.

I continued to gasp, and after the initial panic wore off that this bright smiley nurse would happily sit there and watch me die I got through my five minutes, blew into a tube a few more times and was rewarded with a magic inhaled substance that cured me within seconds.

A couple hours later I was in my doctor’s office: “Well I think the headaches are from oxygen depravation, you have asthma.”

Life sucks. As a kid I dreamed of such a magic diagnosis. I was a chubby kid, athletism was not my forte. I was pretty much exclusively the ABSOLUTE LAST person to show up at the finish line for the dreaded bi-annual mile run. Oh how I wanted to sit with the other chubby, nerdy kids at the sidelines who gripped thier inhalers and waved them at PE teachers prior to getting their study hall passes. Where as I had to “run” well okay walk quickly…kinda quickly....until I ambled my way to the finish.

Now at the age of 26….my dreams came true. Unfortunately it has been a good 9 years since anyone has forced me to run any distance let alone a mile and I don’t think this is a streak likely to be broken. By the way… who the hell gets diagnosed with asthma 3months AFTER quitting smoking? Irony.

Teeth, Smoking, and dying people March 05, 2008 |

No I don't have anything interesting to say so don't get too excited. I bought a new teeth whiting kit. I occasionally do this, it usually happens after sitting in a meeting for an excessively long amount of time and staring at peoples teeth. I got a kit from Rembrandt, you put the little molds in hot water and they actually shape to fit your teeth so that's cool. Also white teeth will be a major bonus to the who not smoking thing.

Speaking of not smoking it has been pretty easy to keep with it since the most contact I get with smokers is passing them in the street. The real test happened this weekend. Rory came and visited. Shes an old school smoker, even gave me my first puff of a cigarette at a house party. She has cute back since then but there still were the smoke breaks, but I held firm. I must admit even though it smelled bad, and I know its awful for me the temptation was there. Sigh its pathetic though. I know if I have just one Ill be right back to where I started. So yeah be proud of me.

On the job front I'm getting more and more excited about my new job. I have my official transfer date of April 16th. I have heard nothing but good things about the area and about my new supervisor. She has been very nice and seems excited to have me. The only lingering issue I have is the dying people thing. The team serves the intensive care patients....intensive care patients usually means things aren't going there way. Of course many people get better but odds say I'm going to have to deal with knowing and probably seeing someone die at some point. I'm such a cry baby. But supposedly empathy is a gift so maybe I can give it away.

I miss you February 12, 2008 |

Picture borrowed from patrick lynch.

Today is day 25. I had my last two ciggarets in rapid succession after finding my beloved childhood bear's guts strone from one end of the house to the other.

You would think that after a three weeks of being nicotine free I would be over it by now. Not so. All the web seems to be able to tell me is that now I have a 30% increase in lung function. The only think I could imagine doing with all this extra lung space is filling it with some nicotine.

When I had quit before I dont remember it being that bad. I remember a few days of annoying cravings and then that was it over. Of course it isnt too bad anymore, but every day I get home from work it hits. Sigh...whatev-skis.

Maybe I could start dreaming about smoking to get my cravings out.

Sniffles October 04, 2007 |

I have a cold. I didnt go to work on tuesday...suffered through wednesday but skipped bowling...today I woke up at 5am coughing up things that a bad colors when it comes to body fluids (and I use the term fluid loosly here). Red all of a sudden has decided not to annoyingly call me all the time which is probably the direct result of me having plenty of time to talk. I have a temperature which according to my mother validates sickness and staying home. I called into work without leaving bed and I have not left bed all day except to go to the bathroom and make soup. While laying in bed I listened to two lectures, took a nap, took a quiz, did a case study on synovial fluid infected with varacelia zoster and played two games of monopoly. I won both.

In dating news Red is comming to visit this weekend allthough I think Im goign to talk him out of it since I am covered in infection. Things are going well its been about a month of dating pretty much a record for me. I just wish he liked to sit at home and watch tv more.

Othernews there is a eharmony guy that wants to meet. He's a florist for a living...interesting profession. Lives within a 30minutes distance major bonus. I kinda put him off. Is it wrong to date other people while dating someone? We arent boyfriend/girlfriend but I guess Im just old fashioned.

blonde moments September 19, 2007 |

So in my first order of buisness belmont is home safe and sound. His leg looks pretty icky and his half shaven butt is quite the fashion statment but all things considered I think hes doing well. He has spend pretty much all day sleeping and is taking 10 pills a day so I assume he will be doing quite a bit of sleeping for the next couple weeks. I think Im going to have to get him one of those pill boxes.

In other news I can be such a bubble head sometimes. Incident one. I was collecting belmont from the vet and set my purse and keys in the car. I to free my hands so I could lift him into the back cargo area. I colleced my purse and closed the door. This would have been okay if I would of had my keys IN my purse...unfortunately I left them next to them. I realized the problem as I walked to the drivers side to unlock my door. Sigh my vet is not in town. So I had to call a locksmith from 20minutes away to come and rescue me. $70 dollars later I was on my way home.

Incident two. I was at bowling. I walked up and was about to hurl my ball down the ally when I notice humm the light isnt on...and I here someone saying no no NO!! I look over an a very frightened looking bowling employee is staring straight at me while half bent over fishing a pin out of the gutter. I hang on to the ball slightly loose my balance but I did not fall down or kill anyone.

Incident three. The very next time I am up to bowl I go up to my lane...check for the light...its on we are all good. I throw it right down the middle...very promising. Then the pin gate comes down and the gate bends forward. My ball hits the gate bounces and comes rolling back towards me. All eyes turn to me. The guy I almost took out five minutes ago comes to my aid and resets the lane. He giggled a little.

Belmont Go Get a Job September 18, 2007 |

I dropped off baby bell for his first surgery today to repair his crucial ligament. Even though the vet said his left knee was more unstable I insisted he do the right knee first because that is the one he has been primarily limping on. Well was his mommy right because when they got in there not only was his ACL all screwed up but he had a tear in his meniscus. Which they said they cleaned up as best as they could I don’t know exactly what can be done in the case of a torn meniscus but I suppose it’s good to know I’m not crazy. So he’s staying the night at the vet’s office and I can pick up my little bundle of fur and stiches tomorrow morning. Where I took the day off so I can dote on him to no end and make sure his pillows are fluffed and water has unmelted ice cubes.

One note on my financial investment on this surgery…its not cheep and I can’t technically afford it. Although my visa can. What I don’t understand is the multitude of people (basically everyone but my parents) that were utterly shocked that I was going to get him the surgeries. Umm hello? I don’t have kids he’s 3yrs old has many happy and healthy years left with me of course I’m going to get him fixed. If a 20yr old breaks a hip you don’t just throw them in a wheelchair and be done with it. I am not a fan of he’s just a dog mentality. He’s more than a puke making, underwear eating garden destroying dog. He’s a pet who sits on the couch with me when I’m sad, cuddles with me when I’m lonely and is a conversation starter when meeting new people at the dog park. That’s worth the price of any surgery.

In case you had some undying curiosity about my Belly’s injuries I have included some anatomy drawings of a knee (Provided by Mayo Clinic). They aren’t stolen if you give them credit right?

A Spring in Her Step July 31, 2007 |

Not a very exciting day today. There was an audit at work which I was fortunately to busy to have to deal with. I have to admit a little something though. There is a fellow doing a rotation in my lab and I have a bit of a crush on him. I find myself hanging around the station he is working on much more often than I normally would. It’s odd he’s not really my type. He’s a little dorky has a mole over his eye which is rather distracting and he has way too much product in his hair. But I like the way he talks, well hopefully this is transient I’m sure I’ll forget all about him when he moves on to another rotation in a month.

I took my last hematology test after work, it didn’t go so well. I don’t care I just hope I can pull off a B I just want to get done with school…again. Why didn’t I choose a useful major in the first place?

Well I was supposed to finish up all the worksheets I need for the class tonight but I decided to go out to dinner with my roomie where I saw a woman wearing these...

Absurd I know. Supposedly they help back and heel pain…no I didn’t ask the crazy lady I looked them up online when I got home. I don’t care how comfortable they may be there are plenty of non-ugly comfortable shoes out there just ask my cute new naturalizer mary-janes they are like walking on baby pillows all the live long day. To make matters worse she was wearing navy sweat pant material shortie-shorts and a red poik-a-dot cami...both items not appropriate for her age or body type...then add though shoes... I am by no means a fashionista but this was just unexcusable.

Thinking about shoes got me thinking I should go shopping. Newly charged with the ability to buy glasses without having to pay anything (thank you vision reimbursement) I decided I needed a new pair of sunglasses. I got a bit oversold on the polarized lenses…I cant see my heads up display with them I think I will call back tomorrow and have it changed to regular lenses. Anyways here they are…Ralph Lauren I love anything by Ralph Lauren. I wish my work had a clothing reimbursement.

Metamucil, Depends and Glasses July 26, 2007 |

So today I got proof that I at the age of 26 have surpassed my prime of life and my body is beginning a slow and miserable degradation. I’ve always had good vision…notice the ‘had’ I like to call that foreshadowing.

Things that make you go humm: I don’t watch my big tv very often. I like to lounge in bed and watch trading spaces on my tiny 13 inch television which is perched up on a shelf in my closet. One day I notice while in bed that I couldn’t make out what the tv guide channel was telling me…it had always been small and hard to read but I was always able to make due. I decided that I must have been crazy and only someone superhuman could read that in the first place.

Things that make you go humm humm: My friend Alice and I were driving to Chicago to visit Cobie. I didn’t really remember where he lived and I had never personally driven there. So as we are looking at street signs Alice starts calling them out long before I can read them…to the point where I am annoyed. How can she see that? She’s had glasses as long as I’ve known her…her vision cant be that good. It’s simply implausible that she can see those signs before me. I decide to blame it on the fact that I was driving and distracted.

Things that make you go humm humm humm: T.V guide part duo. I was doing laundry and flipped on the T.V. downstairs. My family room is pretty small and my T.V. was pretty big. I turn on the guide to see what’s on. Uhoh that fuzzy…I strain to make the words come into focus. Ok this is not normal.

So I go to the eye doctor today still slightly convinced that I had nothing to worry about because I had crappy televisions…my ophthalmologist was a resident and mighty tasty I could see that much J Apparently he is shocked I have never had glasses and he doesn’t know how I was able to renew my license just over a year ago. To be fair I do remember the vision test being more challenging than I remember.

I am written a prescription for spectacles. No contacts for me. I am very special because I have an astigmatism in both eyes that goes in apposing directions. I giggle at the word astigmatism because I just recently learned it was one word and not simply A STIGMATIM. So I am concentrating very hard on not laughing like a buffoon and not paying attention. Apparently the opposing thing is important and I can’t wear contacts because of it.

Ok so now on top of being single and old I also have to be nerd. But check out my cool new frames they should be here in 10-14 days and then I will have the gift of sight and be able to see them too. And yes the bottom ones are purple.

Puke-a-poluza April 30, 2006 |

I must preface this story with a little flashback to two days ago. Ed and I had gone grocery shopping because we had no edible food left in the house. Before putting our new goodies into their ice-box home I thought it appropriate to clean out the fridge especially since its pungent odor filled the kitchen whenever it was opened. So Im going through and tossing things left and right. For some reason I paused at a rotisserie chicken from last nightI had no intention of eating it and began to throw it away saying, Do you think this is good? First of all I should never ask a boy that question they will eat anything. Ben begs me to keep it and to appease him I put the icky chicken back into my clean fridge to finish its decay.

Fast forward two days later. I am coming home from the gym Ed had the day off and I call him to tell him when Im going to be home so he can start dinner. Ben answers the phone groan groan, I cant even think about food right now. Oh gag I think his lazy ass has been home all day and he cant even put a freakin lasagna in the oven. But I am nice and let it go saying Ill start it when I get home. I come in the door to find him laying in bedcomplaining. At this point I am operating under the assumption that he is just being a big baby.

But I am the nice girlfriend to so go to Walmart (land of the ugly) to get some Saltines, Pepto and 7up. I come home and Ben is in the bathroomoh the noises that came out of that room I feared the door might blow off. So I eat dinner and let him work it outpoor Ben has not left the bathroom and I am starting to think he might be legitimately sick.

After about 45minutes of his bathroom exile he calls me in. He looks like shit and is panicking. His face is pale his lips are blue he cant feel his arms or legs and is starting to pass out. (Okay so he really was sick how was I supposed to know he wasnt just being a baby.STOP JUDGING ME!) So it takes about 20 minutes to get him into the car and to the hospital. They take us right in. We are in the evaluation room and Ben is trying to tell me something.I have absolutely no clue what he is saying. So I just say dont worry honey we are at the hospital theyll take care of you....you know all that sensitive crap I only pull out when absolutely necessary.

Ed: Mummble mumble mumble

Me: What honey?

Ed: Mummble mumble mumble

Me: Oh yeah hon I love you too. (have no clue what he is saying)

Ed: Mummble mumble puke mumble.

Me: Puke? Oh God he has to Puke!?

The nurse hands me a small bucket like a big cup really like the size of a large fountain soda cup, I put it in front of his face and ....OH MY GOD. Now I have seen people puke before but this was quite a forceful blast out the mouth out the nose, its splashing all over my hands. Ed filled two and a half of those cups. I was yelling at the nurse I NEED ANOTHER BUCKET! QUICKLY! Oh and it was pink..with chunks it must have been that pepto.

So what have I learned? You know you really love someone when you clean the toilet after they have had water-poop for 45minutes and held ridiculously small buckets when they are vomiting and it doesnt even faze you...yes children that is lwhat love is all about. Oh and I even didnt rub it in his face (too much) that I wanted to throw that chicken away in the first place.

Biography

"Ava Mazur (alias) was born July 20th, 1981. She is the only child to two very normal middle class parents who were so wonderful she can’t even blame them for all of her problems. While her parents both worked Ava was lovely attended to by her overprotective, well intended however extremely paranoid paternal grandmother. She attended St.Peter’s Lutheran school in Schaumburg, IL from kindergarten until 8th grade where she achieved mediocre grades and participated in: girlscouts, basketball, cheerleading, equestrian and band. After graduating from St.Peter’s she attended James B. Conant Highschool in Hoffman Estates, IL. Where she got her first boyfriend, first job (a bather brusher & fill-in obedience instructor) at PetsMart. She also met her fabulous bff Cobie. She was published in the schools literary magazine in 1999 effectively beginning and ending her writing career. She continued her participation in equestrian and band. She later joined the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra and participated in several state solo competitions while player her flute. Due to High School bureaucrats she was forced to participate in marching band. But thankfully as a result of a snoozing belayer while rock climbing Ava was able to milk a sprained ankle for a year to get out of the senior year season. Furthermore she made a half assed attempt at joining drama (which she hated). High school taught Ava many valuable lessons such as: buying clothes is fun, if you bat your eyelashes you can talk a cop out of giving you a ticket, mothers love buying dresses for special events, driving is awesome even if you have to walk 5 times as far from your parking spot than if you would have taken the bus and sex is fun. Ava’s slightly above mediocre grades were enough to earn a scholarship to Winona State University in Winona, MN. She graduated with a 2.99 (how much does that suck) and a B.S. in Allied Health. In college Ava enjoyed no organized actives, drank with her friends Alice and Rory, slept in, watched mtv, swore off meat, exercised and enjoyed enough camel lights to take years off her life. After Graduation she got a job at Mayo Clinic and bought a beautiful deep purple velvet couch, a car with heated seats and heads-up display as well as a house. She spent tons of her parents money on a wedding that never happened. And applied the remainder of her wedding fund (a gift from her parents) to install Brazilian tiger wood floors in the upstairs of her home. Today Ava is a (distance) student at North Dakota Stat University for a B.S. in Laboratory Science. She lives in Rochester, MN with her beloved bulldogs Belmont and Rosa. She enjoys bad reality TV, finding new music on Pandora, riding her bike and writing amusing stories on her blog. "
