I need some Vodka December 10, 2007 |

In an attempt to be a better person I am going to give credit where credit is due. So in concordance with my moral "rightness" I admit I steal...nah borrow pictures for my blog. To cleanse my guilty conscience I have decided that references are in ordered. If you think I'm going to start taking my own photography you obviously are misguided enough to think I have talent or time. That being said...I "borrowed" this pic from Egg on Stilts' Flicker site.

Now onto the bitching....

Its a crappy Monday. The current time is 8:27am I do not have to be at work until about noon. I am awake.

I slept over at Smiley's house last night. We had a bit of a tifflet. Well not really more of an emotionally charged misunderstanding to where I acted ridiculously like I tend to do. And all my baggage which I thought was lost at the airport was very annoyingly returned to me causing me to act completely insane around a person whom does not deserve it. Bah. Anyways it all ended up okay but I didn't sleep well at ALL because once I get all stirred up its hard for me to settle down again. The alarm went off at 5:50 and after a good morning snuggle I dropped Smiley off at work and went back home take in a few hours of napping before doing anything. Well I was of course awake so I took out the trash let the dogs out. Cleaned up a mess where one of them got in the closet, dragged out my dirty laundry and chewed on my key access card which was attached to one of my pants. Fortunately the card is only minorly chewed and I think it will still work without issue.

I settle into bed with the dogs where I can not find my remote so I end up watching the today show for an hour while studying some hematology. Then I checked my myspace and facebook. Where the fuzz left me a message. Gag.

"Hey! I have been off the internet for a while, I see you met a fella! Very cool! I've been doin good. glad to hear things are goin well for you too! Awesome! See ya later!"

Met a fella eh not exactly...things going well...umm I guess school sucks and is draining me of any joy in my life so not really. Awesome? Definitely not. I ask you what after months of no contact possessed the yak-o to message me? I don't want to talk to him. In fact I'm pissed I know hes a cop so I live in total fear of having to see him again the next time I inevitably get pulled over for speeding.

Oh also I got a text from Red yesterday saying "Hi hun" Really? Look buddy you lost the right to call me hun about 2months ago. Why are you still texting me? And since he is still a friend on myspace I read his survey where he appears to be all smitten with this girl Cassie. For goodness sakes go bother her! P.S. I didn't not text back. And I intended to delete him from my myspace but forgot by the time i read my other bulletins.

Oh I also talked to YMCA last night. Basically told him that it wasnt going to work out. With the cop out that I'm too busy. Smiley being a friend first knows all about YMCA and was not keen on me meeting/dating him. I wouldnt be crazy about Smiley dating anyone either so after a week long fizzle of only returning his calls when I knew he would not be home I dropped the bomb. He was a little off kilter it was sorta out of the blue but he kept his game face on and we still maintained a light conversation for about 15minutes after that prior to hanging up.

Anyways after all that i snuggled under the covers and turned out the lights for a snooze. Unfortunately I just laid there feeling sorry for myself and wishing for an aneurysm (no luck yet). I was about to drift into sleep when BOOM...BOOM....BOOM from down stairs followed by a very Mannheim steamroller-esc version of the little drummer boy played at 80 decibels. I cant say for certain but I think my roommate may have placed the speaker directly into the vent.

To be fair she probably had no clue I was home. I am usually at work at this time and I didn't mention working the pm shift this week. STILL! She then opened an slammed every cabinet in the kitchen and left the house without turning off the music. I just figured she was doing something in her car but no after about another 10minutes of torturous Christmas spirit post the sliding door closing and locking I checked the garage and she was gone. I waddled my way downstairs where on my way to the blaring Christmas music I also turned off 3 lights. (No wonder my electric bill is so flippin high).

I am now not even going to attempt to sleep because I will probably drift off at 9:55 only to be awoke by my alarm at 10. Christ. I should do something fun tonight after my final. I need to de-stress.

WoooHoo November 28, 2007 |

I was talking to YMCA tonight and he officially asked me on a date. He is double checking his schedule but it looks like Saturday will be the day of reckoning. He volunteered to drive to Rochester...I'm in charge of deciding where to do since he doesn't really know the city that well.

So what should we do? Dinner at Whistle Binkies and then Comedy is always a nice choice. Although I have the feeling it will be a lunch affair (less pressure) in which case I am stumped for afternoon actives ideas. Bowling...ish I do that weekly now. Drinks and darts too slutty, Walk around at quarry hill to much nature and too cold. Help me people I need ideas!

Im stoked this is the first time in a loooong time that I can remember being truly excited and hopeful about meeting someone new. I would have to say July with Jewish lawyer was the last time (side note boy that was an awful bubble burst). Anyways yeah Ill keep you all updated. Oh

PS I quit eharmony...too much money. Besides next semester Im going to be waaay busy. SO if things dont work out with YMCA dont expect any fun dating stories for awhile.

PPS. Notice the picture...they are french horns. French kissing, first dates...its like the french horns are kissing. Arent you glad I bring it full circle for you all?

Head over Feet November 19, 2007 |

Okay I haven't lost my mind completely. I realize that people I talk to on the phone or the Internet can be completely different in real life. However that been said YMCA is proving to be quite pleasing.

He gave me a ring last night when he was done with work. He's so sing-songy when he talks and a pretty good conversationalist even can get a word in edgewise against me. He will do even better when he figures out I don't mind if he interrupts. Anyways after thinking about my previous "6-things" post it was out main topic of conversation. To the how do you feel about the gays question he passed with absolutely brilliant flying colors. Saying no problem whatsoever. He meets all my requirements. Good job, future, morals. Okay so he doesn't out earn me, I guess I haven't asked but I'm assuming. The point is he talks about saving and paying off his grad school loans...now that is hot.

So after a really good talk I ask to him when do I get to meet you in real life? He sounded excited about it. He is out of town until next Wednesday for thanksgiving but we are going to set something up for the week after that. What am I going to wear...I only have 2 weeks to decide.

Biography

"Ava Mazur (alias) was born July 20th, 1981. She is the only child to two very normal middle class parents who were so wonderful she can’t even blame them for all of her problems. While her parents both worked Ava was lovely attended to by her overprotective, well intended however extremely paranoid paternal grandmother. She attended St.Peter’s Lutheran school in Schaumburg, IL from kindergarten until 8th grade where she achieved mediocre grades and participated in: girlscouts, basketball, cheerleading, equestrian and band. After graduating from St.Peter’s she attended James B. Conant Highschool in Hoffman Estates, IL. Where she got her first boyfriend, first job (a bather brusher & fill-in obedience instructor) at PetsMart. She also met her fabulous bff Cobie. She was published in the schools literary magazine in 1999 effectively beginning and ending her writing career. She continued her participation in equestrian and band. She later joined the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra and participated in several state solo competitions while player her flute. Due to High School bureaucrats she was forced to participate in marching band. But thankfully as a result of a snoozing belayer while rock climbing Ava was able to milk a sprained ankle for a year to get out of the senior year season. Furthermore she made a half assed attempt at joining drama (which she hated). High school taught Ava many valuable lessons such as: buying clothes is fun, if you bat your eyelashes you can talk a cop out of giving you a ticket, mothers love buying dresses for special events, driving is awesome even if you have to walk 5 times as far from your parking spot than if you would have taken the bus and sex is fun. Ava’s slightly above mediocre grades were enough to earn a scholarship to Winona State University in Winona, MN. She graduated with a 2.99 (how much does that suck) and a B.S. in Allied Health. In college Ava enjoyed no organized actives, drank with her friends Alice and Rory, slept in, watched mtv, swore off meat, exercised and enjoyed enough camel lights to take years off her life. After Graduation she got a job at Mayo Clinic and bought a beautiful deep purple velvet couch, a car with heated seats and heads-up display as well as a house. She spent tons of her parents money on a wedding that never happened. And applied the remainder of her wedding fund (a gift from her parents) to install Brazilian tiger wood floors in the upstairs of her home. Today Ava is a (distance) student at North Dakota Stat University for a B.S. in Laboratory Science. She lives in Rochester, MN with her beloved bulldogs Belmont and Rosa. She enjoys bad reality TV, finding new music on Pandora, riding her bike and writing amusing stories on her blog. "
